Student Counsleors

Counselor Janice Standish

Janice Standish graduated from Sissonville High School. She received her Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology, Natural Science, and Mathematics from West Virginia University and her Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Marshall University. Post graduate hours in Vocational Education and Leadership Studies were completed at West Virginia College of Graduate Studies.

Janice has worked as a counselor at Andrew Jackson Middle School and most recently at South Charleston High School. She joined the staffs of Ben Franklin and Carver Career & Education Technical Schools this year. She is excited to work with the students and staff at Carver.

Counselor Lisa Dorsey

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Ohio University. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling from Marshall Graduate College. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor as of 2004.
