Principal Phil Calvert

Phil Calvert graduated from DuPont High School in 1981, he continued his education at West Virginia State College (WV State University) earning his B.S. in Education in 1984. He later earned his M.A. in Educational Administration from the WV College of Graduate Studies (Marshall University) in 1987 plus K-12 Physical Eductaion, 7-12 Safety Education, and K-12 Special Education.

Mr. Calvert taught physical education, special education and driver education for 17 years before becoming a school administrator. Mr. Calvert joined the Carver staff in July 2012 after serving as assistant principal at Herbert Hoover High School for 10 years.

The Carver staff is dedicated to helping each student obtain their individual career goals. I look forward to working with our staff and advisory committee members to continue these efforts by implementing curriculum changes, technology improvements, equipment upgrades, and staff development opportunities as industry needs dictate. It is a privilege to be part of such a dedicated and highly trained staff.”
