Hospitality and Tourism (Emphasis on Event Planning)

The Event Planning and Design Production course focuses on the management, marketing and operations of event planning and design. The course will focus on “hands on” and academic activities geared toward management opportunities and skills.

The Event Planning Program will be a WVDE Simulated Workplace Phase 2 pilot course beginning fall of 2014. Students will learn the inner workings of a company by developing a policies and procedures manual detailing expectations and work processes, setting work quotas, establishing attendance point systems, and creating an employee evaluation policy.
